Understanding TIDs in FeaturePlan

All records in FeaturePlan have record IDs (TIDs) which are typically displayed in the TID column of the quick view.

Reading the TID

The record ID is comprised of the following three parts, separated by hyphens:

1. Record type

The record type is indicated by the first group of characters.

2. Product code

The second group of characters specifies the product code (defined during product creation) of the product with which the record is associated.

3. Record number

The third and final part of the TID represents the record number, which is automatically generated in sequence. For example, a TID of ER-SMPL-1234567 can be deciphered as Enhancement Request number 1234567 for the SMPL product.
