Modifying Multiple Records Using Mass Update

The Mass Update function allows you to modify a group of records to have the same value in a particular field. An example might be changing the priority of several records to Critical. You can use mass update on any field in a record, as long as you have write access to that field.

NOTE: Be careful when updating text fields with the Mass Update as it will completely overwrite those fields.

To modify multiple records using mass update:

1. Select the records you want to modify.

2. In the column you want to modify, click the Mass Update icon. The Mass Update dialog box is displayed.

3. Specify the new value then click Update.

4. When prompted, click OK to confirm the modification.
